It’s that time again SAAS Clinical Education is running another CPG (Clinical Practice Guideline workshop) simulation week for our next group of Graduate Paramedic Interns.
During the simulation week the class of 18 paramedic interns will face a variety of simulated cases ranging from CVAs, to overdoses to childbirth and even a train crash! We aim to make the cases complex and as real as possible so having bystanders and live actor patients is essential. Here’s a sneak preview video: vimeo.com/253548185/8838116d3f
We invite FUSA undergrad para students to volunteer as role players and patients. It’s a unique experience and gives you a great insight into part of the SAAS internship program (handy at those interviews questions you will encounter). You will be involved in the simulations and the educational debriefs.
We are looking for male and female volunteers of all ages. You will need to be available all day 0815-1600 on any one of the days below (feel free to nominate for more than one day).
All days are run at SAAS Clinical Education (Mark Oliphant Building, 5 Laffer Drive Bedford Park, 5 minutes away from Flinders Uni) except for day 1 that is run at the Metro Fire Service Training facility, Grand Junction Road Angle Park.
Monday 12th November 2018 0830-1600 – MFS Angle Park
Tuesday 13th November 2018 0815-1600 – SAAS Education unit
Wednesday 14th November 2018 0815-1600 – SAAS Education unit
Thursday 15th November 2018 0815-1600 – SAAS Education unit
Friday 16th November 2018 0815-1600 – SAAS Education unit

If you are available for one or more days please email me: michael.borrowdale@sa.gov.au with your name, age, mobile phone and email contacts. We will provide you with snacks and lunches, so also advise if you have an diet needs or allergies. This is "Paramedic Intern MFS Simulations" by eLearning Videos on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.
